Caritas Poster for reading!

Hi and welcome back to my blog! This week for Reading we had to research and make a poster about Caritas and how they are helping Papua New Guinea. I found a lot of information about how they are going through Climate change and Gender Violence Awareness. This is my poster!

Do you know any other countries that Caritas has supported?

Lawn bowls

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to tell you about Lawn Bowls. On Thursday the 7th of November Me my friends and a bunch of other people were put in a group to go and Play Lawn Bowls. Our instructor was really nice and we got to choose a green ball or a Purple ball. Then we got in a circle and stood on the cone that was the same colour as our ball. Our goal was to knock peoples balls out of the hula hoops but get our balls in there too. I had so much fun. Next we got into threes or two's and there were really cool activities where you could score points. I had a really fun time and I can't wait to play Korfball next time!
Have you ever played Lawn Bowls?

Ferrymead trip Term 4

Ferrymead!

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog! on the 29 of October my hub Tumu went on a trip to Ferrymead! when we hopped off the bus and a man greeted us and told us the rules. Then we walked  through a gate to the actual olden day place. A lady took us girls to get changed into olden day uniform that kids used to wear While the man who greeted us took the boys. then we took our bags and walked to a hall where the girls sat on one side and the boys sat on the other. Then we split into our groups I was with my friends Beth, Eilish and Megan. The olden day place was really cool and you could see everything from the store to the movie theatre. The first place we went to was back in the hall with other groups to play a really fun game called In the Bag it's where there are bags around the room and the person up the front picks someone to come up and choose a bag, and in the bag has some questions and if you get all of the questions right then you can choose to get a freddo frog or a ruler. After we were finished playing the game we went to go have morning tea and the food was really kiwiana. We soon got to go back to our groups and we could explore the village. There was a movie on so we went to a really cute mini movie theatre there were really cute seats and the movie was black and white. We walked to the church and other places like old houses. Then we went to the School where the teacher was really srickt and he had a cane. We had to write with calligraphy pens and ink pots! After the school we went back to have lunch and play with the really fun equipment! The last thing we did was go on a tram ride through the whole of Ferrymead. I had an awesome day at Ferrymead and I hope we come back again. My favourite part of the day was definitely the Tram ride!
Have you ever been to Ferrymead before? and if you have what was your favourite thing?

Our fantastic PBL

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog today I will be telling you about my fantastic PBL for term 3. This term we were looking at How Can Innovation Improve Our Lives? and we needed to make something that could help us in our everyday lives. My group Beth, Eilish, Megan and Jimi came up with a device holder. Say if you needed to facetime someone and you didn't have a case or you didn't have anything to stand it up with! What will you do?? That's how JEMBS device holders can help you. there's an Ipad holder a phone holder, Airpod holder and a headphone holder EVEN Better there's a drink bottle holder, portable charger holder and a tray where you can put you food on. Of course we couldn't make it out of wood so we made a really cool prototype out of cardboard and even an add. Our PBL showcase is going to be on the 25th of September. Our product turned out great here's a picture.

Do you do PBL at your school?

Trip to the museum!!!

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog today I am going to be telling you about my trip to the museum with my hub! So on Monday the 16 Th of September My Hub Tumu was going on a trip to the museum and I was really EXCITED!! when we got to the museum we talked about health and safety then we got split into two groups and went off with a person who worked at the museum. We had a lady and her name was called Marisa we got to go into a small room that looked like a classroom and we did fun activities in there like what they did in the olden days when the first people came to New Zealand. After when we were finished in the classroom we moved into the actual museum where we looked through the glass windows and look at what they did in the olden days. Then we had to get into groups and find things. Finally it was lunch time and we got to play in a really cool big tree and around the fountain. When we finished eating lunch and playing in the tree we got to go back into the museum and explore with our groups we got put in back at school my group was - Beth, Eilish, Cory and Cairo. We had Eilish's mum as our parent. We saw really cool stuff in the museum and I had so much fun with my friends. My favourite part of the museum was the Christchurch town where the horse was and the bike we also saw a really cool wizard that walks around Christchurch town and he gave me a really big Fright. overall I had a really great and fun time and I hope I could come back again. Maybe in the school holidays. Thanks for coming to check out my blog
