Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for reading we were creating a new space for Christchurch, mine was called an Adventure Hill and this is what it's about: My new space for Christchurch is an adventure hill climb through a native forest which has the native birds and ponds. You will have a 2hr time limit to complete the 3.2k zipline, quad bikes, biking, walking and heaps of family challenges to connect with your Whanau. You will have a stunning view throughout the whole adventure and at the top of the hill there will be food and drinks to feast on after the long adventure. I created this for Christchurch so that we can get a better look at all the native environment and bond with our family doing fun activities. I call this place: Adventure Hill. This is a picture of my DLO I created/Collage of what Adventure Hill would look like:
I am a student at St Francis of Assisi Catholic School. I am in Year 7 and my teacher is Miss Henderson. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

This modern building really gives a nice look to the city, Located on Montreal street. The moari name for this building is Te Puna o Waiwhetū.
Number 4 will have you soaring through the sky in no time! The Christchurch Air Force Museum is an amazing site for those high flying lovers, Formally called as the Royal New Zealand Air Force Museum it is located at 45 Harvard avenue in Wigram. It was the RNZAF’s first operational base in Christchurch. This amazing space is used for holding heaps of events and is open to the public 9:30am-4:30pm every weekday.
Number 5 is the beautiful botanical gardens based right next to the Canterbury museum, This huge garden is a nice space to go for a relaxing stroll with heaps of walking space and cafes on looking at the blooming flowers, giant trees and glassy ponds. The gardens hold many events throughout the years and have guided tour walks every day at 1:30pm.
The Canterbury museum is the largest museum in Canterbury, It attracts over 750,000 people a year! It has been on the site for over 150 years when it was built in october 1870. It is also the most visited tourist attraction in the south island with it’s amazing features from a discovery room for kids, to an actual pounamu room with a tiny movie theatre. The tickets are free and are open to the community 9am-5:30pm every day of the week.
Number 5 is the Isaac Theatre Royal, it is a heritage building in Christchurch built by the Luttrell brothers in 1908. The stunning interior leaves you feeling like you're in a castle. The auditorium has a whopping 1255 – 1292 seats and is suited to your comforts by the PA. The beautiful silk red curtain lifts above to reveal the 10ft wide marble stage where countless performances have been performed. There is a bar area out the front where you can order your beverages and snacks.
Number 8 is the stunning New Regent Street which is a pedestrian mall close to the Tūranga library and the Issac Theatre Royal. With more than 7+ shops including everyones favorite Rollick’n Gelato :P New Regent street is perfect for tourists who love taking photos and just wandering down window shopping.
Coming in at Number 9 is the Avon river. The stunning 14km river runs all the way along from the city centre out to the estuary. There are many activities to do on the avon such as punting, riding in a waka and hiring stand up paddle boards, going under bridges and passing the stunning scenery counts as another photography spot for you. Finally last but not least coming in at number 10 is the famous Hagley Park. I put this on my list because this park is something you don’t want to miss out on. With trees surrounding you in the whopping 164.637 hectares of walking, running, cricketing, rugbying and doing anything you want. This park hosts many black cap cricket games and many other huge events. Hagley park is centered right in the middle of Christchurch and is hard to miss when you're driving through town.

Maths week 6 T1
Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for maths we were designing our own Pa Tuwatawata. A Pa Tuwatawata is a small Maori village that they used in the Maori wars back 500 years ago. I decided to draw mine in my math book. (you can't really see it because the pencil is really light but here is a photo)
