Week 5 Maths

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for maths we were focusing on scatter graphs. On Monday we watched a video on how to do them and then created our own one ready to share it on Tuesday. Then for our create task on Wednesday we created a slideshow and put all the data and statements about it on the slide! Here is mine.

I hope you enjoyed this blog!
Question: Would you rather do a Scatter graph or a normal graph to collect information?

Week 5 Writing

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for writing we were working on Narrative writing. On Monday we were watching some videos on writing a Narrative and for our create task on Wednesday we choose a prompt from Pobble 365, I chose: Creature from the deep! Once we had chosen our prompt we had to write a 250-300 word story. It was quite hard because 300 words isn't really a lot, I just wrote what I wanted to happen then me and my Dad took out sentences and made it better to fit between 250-300. I think my story is really cool! Here is it.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Question: What was your favourite line in my story?

Week 5 Reading

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week our Goal is: Use questions to challenge the text, question the author, establish the authenticity of the text and state opinions. On Monday we had to add some ideas to a Jam board and select a text to read! I chose E-Scooters. For our create task on Wednesday we had to do a 3-2-1 Formula: 1. opinion: Write 1 paragraph (5-7 sentences) that states your overall opinion of the text. 2. facts: Determine the authenticity of the text by finding 2 facts in the text or 2 things you would challenge. 3.  Questions: State 3 questions you have for the author. That's basically what a 3-2-1 Formula is! I chose to do mine on a slide show!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Question: Do you know any interesting facts about E-Scooters?

W4 Maths

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for maths we were focusing on: Use tree diagrams to find the possible outcomes for a sequence of events! At first I found it very confusing but after a while it made sense :) For our create task we had to: Create our own tree diagram question and three sub questions i.e. Find the probability of getting it, add it to the end of your slideshow. Or. Record yourself solving one of the other problems on the link and how you solved it. I decided not to record myself!

Here is my Slide show

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Question: Before you came onto this blog did you know anything about Tree diagrams?

W4 Writing

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for Writing we were focusing on: select words or phrases to enhance meaning and/or mood confidently shape ideas for effect! On Monday we had to take a screen shot of a poem from Ken Nesbitt's poem website and use the toolbox to see what we could find. In the toolbox there was: Rhythm, Line breaks, Metaphors and some others! For our Create task we had to create our own poem! It could be any type and about anything we wanted it to be about. I did a rhyming poem about the corona virus! (I got a little bit of help from mum)

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Question: What's your favourite type of poem

W4 Reading

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog! This week for reading we were looking at: Identifying several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand relationships in the text. For our create task we had to: Choose out of two texts to read (I chose how to fall) then we had to complete the boxes below to show our understanding of the author’s choices in the text. This is mine!

Thank you for reading this blog, I hope you enjoyed it!
Question: What do you think the book was about just by reading my create task!
